Space Saving Designs For Your Home

Posted by Devon Shryock

There are a number of factors driving small space design, and space saving design trends these days. Among the factors are environmental concerns, which create a need for smart, conservative innovations to maximize energy efficiency. Smaller, conservative designs use less materials, and have a lower impact on forest products and other resources. Another factor is cost. The average building cost in the San Francisco Bay Area is around $400 per square foot. Smart, space saving design minimizes the amount of materials you have to buy, thus saving you hundreds, maybe even thousands of dollars.

Super tiny homes need not feel cramped or cluttered. Just look at openness and airy composition of this small space-yet it still has everything that is needed to be functional for living in today’s society. The dwelling has space for entertaining, cooking, sleeping, washing clothes, and showering...and it’s beautiful.Another factor driving the need for small, energy efficient design is population increase. Densely populated areas where affordable real estate is scarce, call for creativity in the design market to make the most of small residential building parcels. So just what can be possible with a postage stamp sized lot? You’d be surprised. Just check out the smart utilization of space in these space saving designs, and some of the innovations that make small space living... liveable.

A modern sustainability trend has been emerging that reuses materials, saving forests by reducing the amount of lumber framing used in construction. You might be surprised to learn the humble beginnings of this ultra chic, modern dwelling. It isn’t the first or only of it’s kind. Many beautiful modern homes, some very luxurious,  have been erected from the same simple structure...a shipping container.

Tiny house trends are rising, and there are many variations on this theme, particularly for the nomadic traveler, where several small dwellings may be erected in several destinations, or even one small dwelling on wheels, that has it all.

So whether you want a beach house or something reminiscent of a vardo, (living wagon) there is a small house design that will be a perfect fit for you.

Check out this cool demo-vid on how this micro-mini New York apartment has all the comforts of a full sized luxury apartment. Innovations from Clei make it possible! The shape-shifting Italian designed furnishings are from Resource Furniture.

Also from Clei, is this amazing space saving kitchen that has a refrigerator, an herb garden, a wall oven, a sink, pull out counter space, cooktop, hood and more, all in a 2’ by 2’ tower. That’s smaller than a standard refrigerator! Now that’s space economy.

Have you been inspired by these ideas? If you’ve been dreaming for some time about a small space design, it is now possible. Contact us today and we’ll discuss how to make your small space design a reality for you.

Dr. Polaneczky, I agree. The problem of ovruinthesiastec reporting of the results of research papers is getting worse. There are too many papers of poor quality and too many news outlets looking for stories. It's easier to cut and paste the press release than it is to critically analyze the paper. http://hijkmbpg.com ykyukmzqy [link=http://tolvyfmhy.com]tolvyfmhy[/link]
