A beautifully detailed master bath
Luxury and retreat are the theme for this en suite bath. The original home, dated from the 1930's, is layered with romantic California Spanish Revival details, which was carried into the renovated space. The existing bath was removed, and more floor area was added to create room for an additional sink, a separate shower and jetted tub, and the spacious and sumptuous feeling our clients were looking for in their new master bath.The room is encrusted with elements of spa luxury and pampering. The color scheme is serene, grounded in the soft hues of limestone. Richness is added to the palate with texture such as changes in the tile patterns, honed Limestone countertops, an aged cabinetry finish, and walls layered with Venetian plaster. Additional elements that complete the luxurious feeling are the crystal chandelier and an heirloom vanity table and mirror nestled into a nook near the walk-in closet.
The architectural styling of the new bath reflects the character of the period and the rest of the home with deep crown moldings, elaborate door casings, the arched enclosure around the jetted tub, and an antique Spanish window grille.
